Hulleras del Norte, S.A (HUNOSA) is a public owned company that with its Energy Services, operates a 150MWt CFB Power Plant in La Pereda, Spain and has set up a team of Engineers and Economist to diversify business opportunities and exploit internal resources and know-how in the energy sector. Those related to the 1.7 MWth CO2 capture Calcium Looping Pilot Plant must be highlighted. HUNOSA is seeking solutions to decarbonise future biomass-CHP power plants with CaLby2030 technologies.

Dedicated to the implementation of small retrofits in the pilot, changes in the plugs of the solid circulation lines and small repairs. More than 3,000 hours of repair and maintenance work have been carried out. These were essential for the pilot to be operational after a long period of inactivity since 2018.
